What paperwork is required to buy a pre-owned yacht?

The paperwork needed to buy a used yacht depends on the boat’s current registration, its future registration, and whether the purchase is private or commercial.

How old are most used yachts for sale?

Most of our pre-owned yachts are between 5 and 7 years old, as the majority come from Navigare’s charter management programs, which typically run on 5 to 7 year contracts.

How long does the buying process typically take?

The buying process usually takes around 6 weeks, depending on the terms of the sale.

Do you handle the paperwork for de-flagging and registration?

Yes, we deregister the yacht and provide all the documents you need for registration under your chosen flag.

Do used yachts come with a survey?

Surveys are arranged by the buyer. We recommend commissioning one as part of the purchase.

What are the typical price ranges of the used yachts?

Our pre-owned yachts generally start from around €130,000 for smaller monohulls and go up to over €1 million for larger catamarans, depending on model, age and specification.
