A Legacy Rooted in Innovation
Founded in the 1960s by Michel Dufour, a young engineer and seasoned sailor, the company began with an innovative idea: to build a yacht using polyester, a new material at the time. His first design, the “Sylphe,” marked the start of what would become one of France’s most iconic yacht brands.
Signature Styling That Stands Out
Throughout the history of this shipyard, it has always been possible to spot a Dufour from afar, simply by virtue of its looks. Those hallmarks may have changed as the design language evolved, but they have always been distinctive. In the Umberto Felci era, the hard chines and narrow waterline beam are unmistakable, always allied to an elegant, integrated bowsprit. The coachroof has an efficient, low profile, all signed with minimal, harmonious lines.
