Developed by a new team of naval architects and interior designers, including Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group and Jean-Marc Piaton, this next-generation cruising catamaran reflects a new vision for the Excess brand while building on years of expertise and brand evolution.

The Excess 13 catamaran was named the winner of the Multihull of the Year 2025 award, which underscores the team’s successful attempt at creating a boat with beautiful simplicity, without compromising on comfort and style. The yacht embodies a minimalist philosophy where every element serves a purpose. You can tell it was built by people who understand what turns life at sea into a pleasure.

Sporty, Spacious, and Intelligently Designed

From its dynamic silhouette and asymmetric hulls to its aft-set rig and direct helm linkage, the Excess 13 catamaran design is made for sailing enthusiasts who crave sensation and control. The twin helm stations are positioned close to the rudders for a truly sensational experience at sea, while the lightweight construction and reduced wetted surface improve agility and speed. A large, open cockpit connects directly with the saloon, creating a seamless flow and a space that is ideal for unwinding and entertaining.

The Excess 13 interior offers versatile layouts, including an owner’s suite 3-cabin version or a charter-optimized 4-cabin version with ensuite bathrooms. Its sporty design DNA is combined with thoughtful efficiency and sustainability features, including rainwater collection on the coachroof, natural ventilation that reduces the burden on the AC, and clever cabin doors that double as closet doors in order to save space.
