The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 455, launched in November 2025, is the latest addition to the Sun Odyssey range. The model replaces the popular Sun Odyssey 490, but despite her predecessor being larger, Jeanneau has done a tremendous job of creating a model that is easier to handle but just as efficient and spacious at only 46 feet. It’s a yacht designed for long-distance cruising without compromising style or comfort. It cleverly incorporates successful elements from the previous models in the range while introducing innovations to enhance performance and functionality. From the generous storage lockers to the well-positioned passageways, every detail reflects Jeanneau’s commitment to creating a vessel that is incredibly practical and comfortable to live on board.

The Sun Odyssey 455 specifications and performance features clearly reflect Jeanneau’s high engineering standards. This monohull sailing yacht is equipped with a standard 57 HP engine, now available with an option to upgrade to 80 HP, a welcome novelty from Jeanneau. When you step inside, the Sun Odyssey 455 interior invites you into a social and harmonious space designed by Jean-Marc Piaton. Owners can select a wood finish and have the option to choose a cabin layout with either three (Owner’s Version) or four (Charter Version) cabins. The salon dining table can comfortably seat up to ten guests and, combined with the galley, creates one integrated social space designed for sharing every moment at sea. Smart design features, such as an ergonomic nav station with a modular chair (Owner’s Version), an extra fridge (Charter Version), and a large storage closet with an integrated refrigerator that doubles as a pantry or a washing machine room, provide exceptional functionality and optimal use of the available space. The Owner’s Version offers a semi-walkaround bed, large skylights for exceptional ventilation, and spacious aft cabins, while the four-cabin layout is perfectly suited for charter operations with four bathrooms and additional storage.

Outdoor Living with Functionality and Fluidity

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 455 exterior design is equally impressive. Beginning in the aft, a swim platform provides easy access to the water. With a 4.5-meter beam, the 455 offers ergonomic twin helm stations, each with a cushion that seats two people. The passageways and walk-around side decks allow for effortless movement around the yacht, and the amount of storage space integrated throughout the design is remarkable. The aft cockpit features two tables with built-in cupholders and wraparound seating that has storage underneath. A smart design feature is the ability to fold the tables for easy seating access. At the bow, the massive sail locker and anchor locker provide additional space for equipment, with the option to convert the sail locker into a forepeak cabin, ideal for the charter market.
