At the time of its launch, it offered a completely groundbreaking catamaran concept and has since become known worldwide for exceptional performance and comfort in a 42-foot format. The Millennium edition, launched in 2025, refines this proven concept with updated features, tailored to meet the needs of today’s sailors, and a fresh interior style.

Despite its relatively small size, it’s spacious enough to accommodate up to 12 people. The Lagoon 42 is ergonomic and designed to offer a relaxing living space. It’s a yacht that has evolved, innovated, and improved to become better and better throughout the years.

Smart Layout, Seamless Living

One of the first things people notice about the Lagoon 42 layout is how well the interior and exterior spaces connect. There’s no climbing or ducking between levels; the transition from the aft cockpit to the salon is seamless.

This single-level living arrangement makes the boat feel open and easy to move around. Large glass doors slide open to link the indoor salon with the shaded cockpit outside, creating one expansive area full of natural light.

At the helm, the layout ensures that the skipper can stay part of the conversation while keeping an eye on everything from the coachroof to the swim platform. Speaking of which, the wide steps at the stern lead directly to a large swim area, perfect for a morning dip or watching the sunset. Overall, the catamaran Lagoon 42 gives the impression of a much larger vessel.

With over 1,000 units built to date, the Lagoon 42 has earned a global reputation for reliability, ease of handling, and onboard comfort. A four-cabin layout provides generous sleeping accommodation, while the shaded cockpit doubles as a dining area with space for up to ten. Large windows in the Lagoon 42 interior ensure an open, bright space with plenty of natural light.
